Where to find your iTunes backup on computer?
For Windows users, the default location for iTunes folder is :\Users\Administrator\AppData \Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync.
While if your iTunes backup is not in the default location, you can find it in iTunes. Open iTunes, go to Preferences>Advanced tab, find the “iTunes media folder location”, there list the location of the iTunes folder. Check the option that “Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library”. Click OK.
You can drag your iTunes backup from this location to your external hard drive.
If you have some files do not in iTunes Media folder, you should consolidate files in iTunes first. Click File>Library>Organize Library, choose the option: Reorganize files in the folder “iTunes Music”.
How to restore iPhone datafrom external hard drive?
As we have mentioned above, it’s very necessary to back up your iTunes backup to other devices. If you have no other iTunes backup on external hard drive, you should not delete it.
